What we don’t collect

There are no accounts on View Snapchat Stories. We don’t ask for your name, email or Snapchat login.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

What our server handles

When you look up a username or a Spotlight link, our server fetches the public page from snapchat.com and keeps a copy of the public data (name, bio, story and video links) for up to three hours, so the next visitor gets it faster. What you typed is not linked to you.

Your IP address is used for a few seconds to limit how many lookups one device can make per minute. It is not stored in a database. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Videos and photos

Snaps play and download straight from Snapchat’s servers (sc-cdn.net) to your browser. Snap Inc. can see that a browser requested the file, but not who you are on Snapchat, because you aren’t logged in here.

Stored on your device

Your light/dark choice, sound setting and the last 8 usernames you opened are kept in your browser’s local storage. Remove them with the × next to each name, or by clearing site data.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
